Growing amongst chaos

It’s been a little while since there’s been a garden update, so I figured I would do one today.

Things seem to be growing great in the little garden … all except for the lavender. The peas are kicking butt, as are the lettuce and carrots.

I’m particularly excited about the lettuce, as we’ve never been able to get it to grow well in the past. The iceberg lettuce seems to be doing better than the salad mix too.

The squash seems to be plugging along too. I think the biggest thing that’s helping things grow is the wildlife netting around the bed. Everything can grow without being nibbled on. (We’ve had some critters nibble on our bean and okra sproutlings the past few years.)

Between storms and other things sapping my time recently, I’ve sort of neglected to weed it. Don’t worry though, because Ill do it soon.
